Concept of company: Our business was founded in Gifu Prefecture, Japan in 1877.We make a traditional Japanese dish called “Tsukudani”. “Tsukudani”is small seafood , meat or seaweed that has been simmered in soy sauce and sugar. “Tsukudani” can be made with Ayu or sweetfish, an excellent food fish that can only be raised in clean rivers such as Nagara River, one of the most beautiful rivers in Japan. Therefore , Ayu has been called “The Queen of limpid stream” for a long time.You can enjoy and experience the heart and soul of Japan through Ayu cuisine…that is “Umaiya.”
